When Karaoke Meets Kink: What We Learned at Our First On-Premise Karaoke Parties

The devil is in the details.

A few weeks ago, we pulled off something we’d never done before:

A full-blown karaoke night with on-premise play, built and customized entirely by us, inside Platforms Dance Club in Providence.

Then, a week later, we did it again at Luxe.

We’ve hosted LOTS of on-premise parties.

We’ve hosted LOTS of karaoke parties.

But this was our first time fusing the two worlds together — and WOW, did we learn a LOT.

Both events sold out with well over 200 sexy, smiling, karaoke-screaming guests each night. The energy was electric. The vibe was incredible. And the lessons? Ohhhh yes… we got an education of our own.

We ran out of WHAT??!!

⚓ We Came Prepared… Or So We Thought

We’re regulars and/or members at several lifestyle clubs and have hosted at big clubs. We’ve hosted big house parties. We know the drill.

So of course, we came armed with EVERYTHING:

• Condoms

• Lube

• Wipes

• Stacks of fresh sheets

• Cleaning supplies

• Room décor

• Extra lighting

• The whole “Rhody Boats hospitality kit”

  
  

Anyone who has partied with us knows:

We don’t just get you in the door.

We make sure you have an experience — a night you feel part of, not just present at.

Our veterans know and love that vibe.

Our newbies RELY on it.

Because let’s be real…A LOT of people who come to our parties are either brand-new to the lifestyle or ONLY come to Rhody Boats events.

They haven’t been to the big industrial clubs.

They haven’t memorized on-prem etiquette.

That’s why we curate safe, welcoming social spaces, do interactive icebreakers, and pull shy people off the sidelines.

Nobody is left feeling like the awkward kid at a high school dance.

That is the heart and soul of Rhody Boats.

⚓ And Then… We Ran Out of Stuff 😱

Halfway through the night, we get the reports:

“We’re out of condoms."

“We’re out of lube."

“We’re out of wipes.

“We’re out of clean sheets.”

Excuse me… WHAT?

That is NOT the “Rhody Boats Experience.”

We were horrified.

We pride ourselves on making sure NOBODY wants for anything — especially when it involves health, safety, and comfort.

But then came the real discovery…

I found them!

⚓ The Morning After: The Mystery Is Solved

The next day, after packing up and hauling everything out of the club, we started to see the truth.

Behind the furniture?Under the mattresses?Behind curtains?

Piles of condoms, lube packets, and wipes.

People grabbed what they needed in the heat of the moment (understandable!)……but then tossed or dropped the extras where NO ONE ELSE could find them.

Same thing with the sheets.

The girls had neatly placed individually wrapped, brand-new fitted sheets in each room so guests could easily grab one when needed.

But instead of being used, they all got shoved behind or under things — still wrapped, untouched, and completely hidden from view.

So please, babes…We love you.But remember: everyone deserves clean sheets, supplies, and safe fun.

Take what you need, but leave the rest accessible for the next couple or group.

We wanted to play, too!

⚓ Consent, Courtesy & Closed Doors

We also had a few concerning reports:

• A couple of guys opening doors to closed rooms

• One instance of a locked door being forced open (absolutely not okay)

So let’s get really, REALLY clear on this:

**Closed door = CLOSED.

Always.

No exceptions.**

**Open door = you may watch,

but you MUST ask before joining.**

**Open play area = you may watch,

but respect distance and always ask before engaging.**

**“No” means “No.”

It does NOT mean “try again later.”**

We ALWAYS have security on-site, and they’re excellent at what they do……but honestly?

The best vibe happens when they never have to step in at all.

We want a community where we all share the responsibility of keeping the energy respectful, sexy, and safe.

Going forward, our door girls will be reviewing ground rules with every guest attending on-premise events.

Not to lecture — but to make sure everyone enjoys the same sexy, safe, respectful atmosphere we ALL want.

These parties were amazing.

The energy? Unreal.

The karaoke? Hilarious AND hot.

The play rooms? Busy and fun.

The people? The BEST mix of newbies, veterans, social butterflies, shy sweethearts, voyeurs, and exhibitionists.

Did we learn a ton?

Absolutely.

Will the next on-premise karaoke party be even better?

You KNOW it will.
